Layered Process Audits always work on paper. The team leader audits daily, the supervisor weekly, the plant manager monthly. In practice layer 1 does its audits, and the higher the layer, the less often anything happens.

Yes. Layers, frequencies, question sets, reaction plans and escalation model the CQI-8 loop. The content of the questions stays yours; the software runs and documents the loop.
Does it work at the line without a network?
Yes. Audits, photos and answers stay on the device and sync automatically once there is a connection. In a plant that is the normal case.
How do we see who missed their audit?
Completion rate is visible per layer, shift and line, and missed audits escalate automatically to the layer above. That is the main difference from a paper LPA.
